Kunanaz Membership

I want to invite you to be a member of Kunanaz. The Bible assumes that every "new creation" in Christ is going to enter into fellowship with their local assembly of believers. Many of Paul's letters are written to local congregations... The writer of Hebrews tells his readers to not "forsake" getting together for worship... The Holy Spirit draws us into unity "in Christ". In Christ we are a family. In Christ we are a team. In Christ we are God's army. In Christ we are a body working together for God's purposes and glory. God expects you to join a local community in Christ and serve His Kingdom by participating in fulfilling the Great Commission: "...go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20). I invite you to join the Kunanaz Family!
MEMBERSHIP CLASS: Sunday, February 17th, 2008 - starts shortly after the second service(12:30 pm). We will provide dinner and childcare.

Music Theory Made EASY!

You know those commercials that try to convince you to buy a product because it will enable you to do something very difficult with a relatively small investment of money or time (i.e. lose weight, learn Swahili, become independently wealthy)? Remember what your parents always told you, “If it seems too good to be true – it probably is!”
So how can we, in good conscious, offer a class called Music Theory Made EASY?! Because we’re not promising that you’ll be able to teach a college music theory class or write your own curriculum on the subject.
Music Theory Made EASY is simply an opportunity to learn the essential basics of the language of music. Perhaps you’d like to learn to play the guitar or piano for your own relaxation or hobby. How about the ability to look at a piece of music and figure out its “road map”? Now you’re talkin’!
The class actually started last Sunday morning, but you can still join us – play a little “catch up” – and be right in step. And the course is FREE! Just meet us in the foyer at 11:30 AM this Sunday, February 10. We’ll be out each week by 12:15 PM.

What's Going on in the Teen Ministry

Last week for the e-news I shared with the church family about the up coming “Super Weekend” other wise known as the Youth Winter Retreat. It was touch and go there for a while. Lots of debating; should we go up to McCall with all the snow and all. I am sure glad we did, it was a great time! We all experienced God moving up at Camp Pinewood. Not only did we have a great time playing snow-football, snow tubing, swimming at Zimms and getting messy during Messy Game Night. But I believe all those who went were challenged by God to take the next step in their Christian lives. On Sunday morning we had our own “Faith Promise” pledge; a time where we listen to God and let Him challenge us. As you know the group pledged $850 for world missions. Along with their money pledge, the youth also pledge to attend and become more involved with church. Nine of our young people want to become members and eleven want to get baptized. Pretty much all of them want to use their talents to serve God and they want to step up and give tithes to Him. What the youth need now, is for their church family to be in prayer, so that they can be true to their promises. Thank you, Kuna-Naz. for making this retreat possible; thanks also goes out to those awesome youth workers who shared their lives with our young people. May God be Praised!

Happy Birthday Bradan Brothers!
Last week in Big City was incredible! We had 14 first-time salvations! Praise the Lord! We have spiritual birthdays to celebrate! If you want to know the low down of what happened, check out the Big City Blog. This week we are looking forward to starting the Alabaster offering season with a Mission Lesson from Gary and Jeanie Seaney during our activity stations.
Have you ever noticed how some people don't like the truth? We get to follow the story of Jesus' Journey to the Cross to court. Jesus gets a hearing in front of the High Priest. The High Priest really doesn't like what Jesus had to say. When you are the Truth, what options do you have? Jesus had to tell the truth! What happened? He got beat for it! Our kids are going to learn about the value in telling the truth- even if it gets you beat!
