Baptisms, Fire Alarms and the Holy Spirit's Fire

It snowed on Thursday, but it was hot on Sunday. I mean Holy Spirit hot! Twenty-two people were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ on Sunday. Amen! The fire alarm going off was used by the Holy Spirit to prompt one spontaneous baptism (Awesome Story)! Kuna church was receiving the baptism with the Holy Spirit's fire on Sunday and we need to tell God how thankful we are for His Presence and movement in His service! Who wouldn't want to be a part of a church set on fire by God?
Since we've only got one chance to be a community of sold-out followers of Jesus Christ, let's sell-out and follow! Let's not look back! Let's charge ahead toward God our Father! Let's invite the world to magnify our God with us. When God moves like this in our presence, we cannot squander His fire. How will the world fit into our sanctuary? All things are possible for God, we'll let Him tell us how to do that. Let's not sweat the horizontal, human details and let's put our energy into pointing our world into turning verticle to God. "To glorify God and enjoy Him forever." Pastor Eric

We need your pictures!

If you have pictures from the baptismal service, we would love to have them. We will post them on the website so that we can share that moment together. Videos are good too! Please email them to Pastor Brian or drop them by the office. Thanks!

How do we adequately say "Thanks!"?

Elise and I had our 36th wedding anniversary on March 25. We have been in full-time Christian ministry nearly that same length of time and never – and we sincerely mean never - have we experienced such an out-pouring of congratulations, flowers, cards, gift cards, meals, etc. for an anniversary or any other special ocassion!! It seemed like every day for several weeks there was a personal delivery, something left in my office or at the church, or a special card in the mail.
We have never had any reason to doubt your love for us, but if we had, those doubts would certainly have been replaced with an abundant assurance of love and support. It is an honor and a privilege to serve such a loving congregation! Thank you for making the efforts you did to put feet to your prayers. You’re the best!

What's going on in the Teen Ministry

This weekend the puppet ministry team (“Puppet People”) gets started with a trip to Portland, OR, to learn the trade. Be in prayer for them and Rick & Cheri Severson as they travel west. The youth quiz team heads over to NNU for Regional NYI next weekend to take on other quiz teams from around the Northwest. Kuna-Naz has an awesome team and I believe they should win it all! “Go Trinity!” On April 26th the youth will journey to the Taco Bell Arena, in Boise, to hear the Newsboys in Concert. (They are a great Christian contemporary rock band.) The Great Commission tells us to “Go and make disciples of all nations”; as you can read, we are working on the GO part.
May God richly bless you!

What is going on in the Kids Ministry

Wasn't last week an awesome service?! I was so proud of the kids who stepped up and publicly confessed Jesus as their Lord through baptism. The other kids did a great job as well staying engaged in the service and being the church in the celebration. We have an amazing church!
This week in Big City, we will have missionaries Steve and Tamara Fairbanks share some of their experiences in Indonesia. It will be during 3rd service and should be very interesting for the kids. It is always fun to hear what God is doing on the other side of the world.
We are also going to look at God's call to service in our life. In John 21:1-25, Jesus tells Peter what he wants him to do. Instead of being excited about being apart of Jesus' team, Peter was concerned that John wasn't told anything to do. "Why do I always have to set the table? He doesn't have to do anything!" Has anyone heard that one before? God has a specific plan and call for each one of us. We are all uniquely designed by God. We should not get caught up in what others do. Let's be excited that God is involving us!! Sorry...I gotta little carried away. That was the sermon before the sermon. God is good!
